Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join its Norfolk-VA team. The manufacturing technician will perform a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products. Essential Functions: /n - Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature /n - Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts /n - Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches /n - Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels /n - Performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies /n - Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment /n - Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks /n - Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. /n - Works overtime as needed. /n - Follow an engineered assembly process and maintain consistent quality and productivity levels. /n /n Qualifications: /n - Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience. /n - Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. /n - At least 2 years of experience with electronic assembly. /n /n Preferred Additional Skills: /n - Previous assembly skills and strong mechanical background. /n - L3Harris product knowledge. /n - Self-Starter, willingness to train and mentor entry level assemblers. /n - Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the E3 process. /n - Lean manufacturing skills. /n - CostPoint system knowledge. /n /n LI-IK1 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
