Senior-Lead Mechanical Project Engineer
(Aurora-New Bern, NC area)
A busy, growing, and expanding engineering consulting company has an excellent career opportunity for a Senior-Lead Mechanical Project Engineer for their Aurora-New Bern North Carolina area office.
The Senior-Lead Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities Include:
* Overall, responsible for leading and coordinating industrial mechanical project design, development, and documentation for industrial design-build projects
* Plan and execute strategies for completing projects on time and on budget
* Provide expertise and guidance in mechanical, piping, and structural engineering design, analysis, and engineering practices
* Oversight of process and piping systems design, production, documentation, analysis, calculations, piping models, etc.
* Collaborate and coordinate with leads and engineering to satisfy technical and compliance requirements
* Oversee and support project design deliverables, resources, proposals, change management, and project design risks/issues
* Perform walkdowns for projects using basic knowledge of engineering principles for industrial mechanical systems including piping, vessels, tanks, components, and assemblies
* Review, comprehend, and oversee ASME and API specifications, standards, codes, and material estimate work
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* B.S. Degree, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Similar Engineering, Scientific Degree
* E.I.T. Certificate, P.E. License, and PMP Certification preferred (not required)
* Working knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Project, P&ID development, Process Flow Diagrams, etc.
* 5+ years of industrial mechanical systems, piping, structural, P&ID, and Process Flow design, development, documentation, and project leadership experience
