Job Duties The Department of Computer Science at Norfolk State
University (NSU) seeks applicants for the position of Tenure-Track
Assistant Professor-Computer Science (CS). The Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing
Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org , under the
General Criteria and the Computer Science Program Criteria. The
university is recognized by NSA/DHS as a National Center of
Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. Successful candidates will be
able to teach a wide variety of undergraduate courses in CS and
software engineering and to develop and teach graduate courses in
their area(s) of expertise, promote student development, pursue
grants, conduct research, participate in ongoing assessment, and
submit publications. for additional information. A review of

Faculty responsibilities include the ability to: Develop and teach
undergraduate software engineering and computer science courses for
face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery. Contribute to program
and curriculum development and implementation. Participate in
ongoing assessment and accreditation processes. Promote student
development and academic achievement through outreach, recruitment,
advising, mentoring, and tutoring. Participate in all aspects of
the department, school, and university's missions. Pursue grants,

A doctoral degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in software
