A 1099 contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role is based in Murfreesboro, TN, and requires providing remote interpreting support to facilitate communication for students who use sign language. Key responsibilities include: Interpreting educational content and communications between students, teachers, and other school staff via telehealth platforms Ensuring accurate and clear interpretation to support student learning and engagement Collaborating with educators and support staff to accommodate individual communication needs Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Desired qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong telehealth interpreting skills Experience interpreting in educational environments preferred Ability to work independently under a 1099 contract arrangement Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with technology platforms used in telehealth interpreting This contract role offers an opportunity to apply sign language skills in a remote educational setting with flexible scheduling.
