Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations of
our manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role
requires a strong background in cost accounting, inventory
management, and job costing within a manufacturing environment. The
ideal candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, exceptional
analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively
with production and management teams. Responsibilities: • Monitor
and reconcile inventory records, preparing related entries and
detailed analyses. • Manage freight costs, including
reconciliation, reporting, and analysis. • Evaluate overhead
expenses and produce variance reports to identify discrepancies. •
Conduct monthly gross margin analyses and prepare associated
reports. • Compare time and material estimates against actual costs
to ensure accuracy. • Generate and review month-end closing entries
to maintain financial accuracy. • Analyze daily key performance
indicators such as revenue and operational efficiency. • Adjust
manufacturing revenue and costs to reflect accurate financial data.
• Collaborate with plant management to improve labor efficiency,
minimize waste, and enhance overall profitability. • Develop and
manage annual overhead budgets to support strategic goals.• Minimum
of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing and cost accounting. •
Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing general ledger transactions
and preparing journal entries. • Strong attention to detail,
accuracy, and dependability. • Self-motivated problem solver with
excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. • Proven ability to
manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. •
Advanced Excel skills, including familiarity with complex formulas,
functions, and power query. • Willingness to work extra hours to
meet critical deadlines. • Prior experience with Epicor software is
preferred but not required.
