• Review monthly property financial statement packages including all relevant workpapers and bank reconciliations
• Supervise and ensure an accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
• Review transactions related to purchases, sales, and refinances
• Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures and workpapers over the property accounting process.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to the general ledger
• Assist in the onboarding of new acquisitions and third-party additions
• Assist in preparing certifications and calculations of financial covenants for lenders quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
• Supervise and mentor real estate accountants and onboard new hires
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisorRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA
  • 6+ years of experience
  • US GAAP
  • ERP Experience
  • Previous Management Experience
  • Strong Excel Skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, and other complex functions)Preferred Qualifications:
    • Big 4 / Regional Public Accounting Firm Experience
    • Real Estate Industry Experience
